El Gaitero at Foodex 2017

This week, the company Valle, Ballina y Fernández, and the José Cardín Foundation received the 'Desayunando Aldeas' Awards. This award is given by the Association Aldeas Asturias Rural Quality and recognises people or entities that have stood out for their support, dissemination and promotion of Rural Tourism in Asturias.

In the case of the Valle, Ballina y Fernández company, the association has valued its more than one hundred years of history promoting Asturias and Asturian cider to the point of making it 'famous around the world'. As for the prize awarded to the José Cardín Foundation, special consideration was given to its ongoing work to recover, maintain and disseminate the historical heritage of Valle, Ballina y Fernández, as well as the artistic and historical heritage of Asturias.

The awards ceremony took place on 29th May at the Casa de Aldea Llugarón.
